In every life, some rain will fall
Will you sing in the rain or just get wet?
Why do we lose our song?
Our priorities get out of whack.
Too much of ourselves and not enough God.
Missing the best because we are too busy chasing the good.
Focusing on the problems of today instead of the hope of the future.
II Corinthians 4:18 says
So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but what is unseen. For what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.
When problems and circumstances are staring us down, it is hard to keep the proper focus and keep on singing.
Walt Disney World has a 3D virtual reality ride, Spiderman. This attraction, this entertainment, makes you think you are really experiencing death defying feats! Spiraling down from the top of skyscrapers, whipping around corners at breakneck speeds and sharing your car with treacherous villains. While on this ride, the adrenaline is pumping and your heart is racing and at times, your stomach feels like it is in your throat and your heart feels like it is in your stomach. Scary!
Same way in the world. We don’t have to lose our focus or lose our song when circumstances rise against us. We just have to remind ourselves that this is only temporary.
So, how do we keep on singing in the rain?
Keep the focus.
Take care of your family and home.
Take care of your ministry.
Keep your life in divine order.
And remember; this too shall pass.
